The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions on the community.

SASSA might be rendering services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency claimed it is actually alarmed with regard to the high quantity of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some higher quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly sassa status check functional office committed to service the area regularly. The assistance position made for intervention encounters a superior inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for the Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more means to permit the servicing of all customers and raise entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
